“Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.” —
Steve Jobs

A design is a plan or specification for the construction of an object or a system to facilitate certain tasks and achieve certain goals.

UX Design refers to a design approach that focuses on providing a high level experience for the end user of that object or system.

“User Experience Design (UXD or UED) is the process of enhancing user satisfaction with a product by improving the usability, accessibility, and pleasure provided in the interaction with the product.” — Wikipedia

A great design first and foremost requires talent that is inspired by a deep understanding of the business goals, a deep understanding of the users and a deep understanding of all that is possible with technology.

Also it requires tactical skills, including requirement gathering, user research, concept iteration, use case scenario creation, visual design, prototyping and usability testing. One of the most critical skills for UX designers would be communication.
And of course one cannot come up with a great design if one does not have a passion to solve complex problems and a skill to visualize solutions.

With all the above mentioned skills one can be quite successful in designing great user experiences that are user centered, and fulfill business goals.

I can proudly state that I have all the above-mentioned talents, skills, expertise and experience, along with a deep passion for creating great designs. About Nimi page provides the details.
